Hitachi Energy is hosting its inaugural sales competition in partnership with NC State at its North American headquarters on Centennial Campus. 

At Hitachi Energy, our sales team is the engine that connects groundbreaking energy solutions with real-world impact. They don’t just sell; they partner with customers to guide them through complex challenges in sustainability, infrastructure, and innovation. Every day is a chance to shape the future of clean energy. This competition gives students a hands-on look at what it takes to lead in a fast-paced, purpose-driven sales environment. It’s not just about winning; it’s about learning how to influence, create strategy, and drive change through collaborative execution.

This two-day event provides students with the opportunity to:

- Work on a cross-functional team with both engineering and business major teammates

- Receive feedback from experienced sales leaders and judges

- Network with corporate recruiters and partners

- Compete for awards

The competition takes place on Thursday, January 29 (5:30-7:30pm) & Friday, January 30 (8:30am – 5pm), 2026
